About this buck

    Talked to a good friend today he is a straight up guy he said this buck is very legit he said he knew the guy that found it a lake close to Hopkinsville someone posted this a while back and said there was supposed to be a article coming out about it if anyone knows about the article i would be interested in reading it

    I remember seeing that buck somewhere on here. Not sure who posted it, but hadnt seen that exact pic. Never heard the full story.

    If it’s the same buck I seem to recall they were on a canoe trip with family somewhere. Stopped for a break and found it buried in the mud.

    It was a lake near Hopkinsville i cant spell the lake name belyle or something like that he said they had drained the lake low for whatever reason and he saw points sticking up thats about all he knew i would like to read the article if it has or does ever come out im about 30 miles from Hopkinsville i think i have duck hunted that lake years ago but i dont remember much about it have hunted a few different watershed lakes around that area a long time ago

    There was also a few fake stories going around fb about that deer aswell. I recall seeing them when the story was originally posted here.

    I live in Hopkinsville. All accounts I’ve heard seem to point to the story being true and accurate. It was found in Lake Blythe (an old watershed lake).
    Lake Blythe is extremely close to the city dump. My theory (and it’s just a theory) is that this buck had spent its life in the city dump. He lived a life in around the dump (unseen and unbothered) and eventually wandered off and died. Just my theory.

    Jim Strader had the guy who found it on his show and posted about it on his Facebook page. All seems legit.

    No surprise that a buck like that did NOT die at the hands of a hunter (I’m guessing he didn’t get shot and run off and die). Heck of a buck for sure.
