Picked up a couple butts on sale at Kroger’s last night and thought I’d throw one on the Traeger today. Trying to keep it simple...I injected with apple juice... then a sprinkle of salt, pepper and a dose brown sugar. I let that caramelize a little then have mopped it down twice so far with a light coat of Sweet Baby Rays. When it hits internal temp of 165F going take it off and give a shot of squeeze butter, honey and brown sugar ... then wrap in foil and put it back in until it reaches 200f internal temp. I’m cooking at 235F and using hickory pellets. Pic below was after a mop of sweet baby rays.
