Was walking out this morning to help a buddy with a stand,.a few of these guys were raising heck in a tree out in the pasture by my house. They seemed a bit pre-occupied,..I stepped back in and grabbed my German springer. 45 yards with a Diana model 48 in .22. I love these things and don't care who knows it ,....feel free to sling and FPE joke if ya like....it ain't gonna hurt my feelings.
Son brought in some a few years ago and we wrapped the breast in bacon sprinkled light brown sugar on them and broiled them in oven. Tasted just like large dove breast. Good eating
