To cold to be on the river so I spent a few days polishing on a Ruger GP-100. Looks a little better than the dull matte finish.

A few years ago a friend of mine cleaned a stainless steel Smith and Wesson 38 I had with a product called FLITZ. It made it look like it was chrome plated, pretty good stuff.

Yes, it's great stuff I've used it before on my Royal Blue Python's, it's more of a fine polish than a rubbing compound. Mothers makes a great Billet metal polish for stainless steel.

Mother's aluminum push works great too.

You need to be a little more specific or post a link. I searched Amazon for Mother's aluminum push and got aluminum push up umbrella's.;) I spent about 20 hours polishing the gun with Mother's aluminum polish, then with Mother's Billet metal polish which is made specifically for metals such as billet, forged and stainless steel.
