A big snow storm on the way ???

Sounds like some parts may get a big one. Its still developing but some models are saying 15 to 20 inches in southwestern Kentucky. Other places only a few inches. Boy I hope not.

I don't get the pre-treating thing. I can't tell it does one bit of good. The road still gets covered equally and doesn't seem to melt anything. If it did you would think it would be melted in the strips that spay the heaviest. Seems like a waste of time and money.

I understand your concern but it helps. I will be pre treating at work Friday and hooking up a plow. My brothers been pre-treating brine all day.

Certain situations it is less effective. When it does not help is if it’s going to rain or temperatures below 26 in shade and 22 in sun. Or if the roads get packed too bad from traffic before the plows can hit it.
 
It’s nearly to impossible to forecast snowfall amounts outside 24-36 hours. Could be a dusting or could be 2 feet and nobody of this earth can tell you.
