I was 16. It was 1975. I was hanging out at a local garage with the owner and a local guy who was around 50 at the time. He was pretty drunk. A local state cop stopped for gas. When he came in to pay the drunk guy said something he didn't like so he pulled out his club and hit him 3 or 4 times. The owner started to square off with cop till his gun came out. Bad cop was in for an ass whipping if not for the gun.
Poor bleeding guy got cuffed and thrown in the cruiser half conscious. Prick cop stayed with the state police till he retired. I hated this cop with a passion. We always made it a point to lure him out on Halloween and egg the crap out of his car.

How can you tell which cop you're dealing with? Barney Fife or "Punchy McRoid Rage"??? I sure can't tell 'em apart...

There's no way to tell if you don't know them .... but .... if "Punchy" is inclined to beat your ass for no reason anyway, I'm pretty sure he's gonna beat it harder if you try to run or resist.

And, NO WAY am I defending those thugs that beat that guy to death; if he was really that much of a threat ... they should've just shot him.

Exactly!!! They seemed hell bent on beating him to death instead of using the very tool used for defense.

I understand all the hickory shampoo of the old days but these thugs were just teeing off on a much smaller victim.

How’s the guy end up dying? He didn’t necessarily get off easy but I didn’t see where he was in all that bad of shape at the end of it. He took a couple shots but wasn’t like he was absolutely mauled.
I find most people are surprised when they find out how little it truly takes to kill or seriously reduce someone’s capacity to live. The most benign injuries are the ones that get ya. But that guy teeing off on his head was more than enough to do it. Also your spleen while it serves a purpose is one of your biggest enemies in a situation like this. Doesn’t take much and if it gets lacerated and not fixed quickly, you’re gone

Likely stems from people watching two MMA fighters tee off on each other with kicks and punches for 5 five minute rounds and emerge on the other side little worse for it.

Not sure how I missed that but I can clearly see from bigbonner’s video that the one guy teed off on him with several kicks to the head and another got several clean shots with haymakers to the head after he was cuffed. Yeh. Several of those guys are going to prison.
Me personally, a couple of them should get a firing squad. Mob mentality took over like a pack of wild dogs. They weren’t going to quit until he was lifeless. They successfully made that happen.

This is true. But they aren’t wearing boots either. They also have specific moves they can’t throw like down elbows and stuff like that.
