I have a ton of 3 inch #4 turkey mags for my mossberg 500 12 gauge and was wondering if that would be a good combo on coyotes? I have a .660 undertaker turkey tube on it as well and it holds a 92 % pattern at 40 yards. Has anyone used # 4 turkey loads for predators?

    stay out
i have never used it. i use the dead coyote loads and they work well for me. but i killed one once with twenty gauge 7 1/2 bird shot so i guess anything is possible. but i was not yote hunting when i did this and i would not recomend that shot size for yote hunting

Never used #4s, but I do know #5s in the same you mentioned will kill them
    deader than a hammer.

Those #4s will work OK out to about 40 yds.

When using a shotgun, always shoot 'em 2 times. They have a tendancy to jump up and run after you knock them down with the 1st shot and you think they're dead.

I don't know if it will help you or not but we are using 3 1/2 remington no#4 turkey load's and have taken two lately . One was at 21 yard's and the other at 31 yard's, and dropped both of them in their track's. We are using a 870 express super magnum 12 ga. with full choke .
