    Winchester 94 in 22 mag. Tack driver no matter what you put through it. I personally wouldn't use it for coyotes at any kind of range. Close in it would be ok but I wouldn't really be comfortable at anything over 70-75.

    thanks for all the info. it looks to me like there is is opinions from both sides. i guess i will get a few different types of ammo, and go to the range. once i get it dialed in good, i will use it and see what happens with some heads shots.

    Don't bother with the vmax rounds , most accurate I have found so far but will not penetrate well on larger animals. Anything in the 35 to 40 grain jacketed stuff works well. Jimmie

    Try the CCI Maxi-Mags if you can find them. If I remember right they make a 40 grain hollow point that should down a coyote.

    i have the winchester black box. i will have to look and see exactly what they are.
