Savage 24C 22Mag over 20ga. I've had it for over 30 yrs, bought it used from a lil dealer who sold out of a Shed behind his house in Moorefield, WV. Was in Harrisonburg, Va, reading shotgun news and saw it listed. Had to go to our farm in W. MD and he was kinda on the way! Man did I drive some 4wd back country roads trying to take the shortest route using an atlas for navigation. What a fun trip!

That sounds like a great time with some good memories. Betcha got that a whole lot cheaper than you could buy one today. That's the same model as my uncle gave me a little bit back except it's the 222 over 20. That one you got is a whole lot nicer with the engravings on it. Sweet gun

Mine is a .22/410, which is probably the most common, and not near as fancy as yours, but i like the little gun alot.

My Uncle did the carvings and I recheckered it in my younger, better eyes, steadier hands days. I could still do it, but I'd have to have a lighted magnifying glass on a stand to do it. Shoots tacks and has killed a lot of stuff with it.
