I have a 22-250 and love it.But if I had to buy another gun it would be the 243 for longer range shots. Both are acc.

if both are fed what they like, there of equal value when it comes to accuracy. the .243 will give you better bullet selection, buck the wind better with the heavier bullets & have more punch down range.

Plus the .243 makes a great deer rifle.

The caliber has nothing to do with accuracy. A good accurate rifle is going to shoot good, regardless of the caliber it is chambered for. Having said, it is a tossup as to which one of these 2 calibers is the best for coyotes. I have used both, and either will do the job.

Both are accurate in a good quality rifle. However the .243 can also be used for Deer as well as Varmints.

Both are great rounds. My personal experience is that most .243's are very accurate, but every .22-250 I've shot has been at least as accurate as the best .243. (FWIW, I've shot quite a few different rifles in each chambering.)

Any well built rifle in these two calibers is going to be accurate if fed well. But if many of my shots were long and saving fur was imortant a 243 would get the nod. Bucks the wind very well and with heavy weight well constructed bullets there is less fur damage.

I have taken guys out with evrything up to and including a 30-06. Bullet damage is less with deer weight bullets. Most of the time the accuracy depended on hte nut behind the butt ;-) Jimmie
