My best friend has put in a new 20 target 3D range at the Butler/Warren County line. He coaches S3DA kids and has started an ASA club. He has some fun shoots scheduled for 2023 along with some ASA qualifying tournaments. He has a nice wooded range that he continues to improve on.

Camp Calvary in Willisburg will hold a 3D shoot the first Saturday, August 5th. Bow hunter, traditional, women's, and kids classes. Also will have a long shot, separate from the 30 targets. Biggest buck with a bow from this previous year. 2022-23 season. There will be an official B&C scorer on site. Lots of fun. 15 dollar entry fee, that includes lunch. Also there will be door prizes and silent auction bids that help raises funds for camp. Thank!

Why don't they do more shoots?
They have the targets, and obviously draw the crowd.
I love the shoot every year, I just can't understand why it's only annual.

Most of it is because of scheduling. They don't want that type of activity going on during summer camps. I think the odds of any interaction between a kid camper, and someone that's coming to the archery shoot would ever happen. But... Also we just volunteer our time to set up the targets, and try to host everyone. I'm not real sure how things will go this year after Alan's passing. We are still doing the shoot obviously. But whoever takes Alan's spot, they will have some say in the possibility of doing more shoots. We tossed the idea around once at doing at winter shoot. But nothing came of it. We probably could do another shoot through October. But we typically have hunting on the brain then. We are blessed with a great time there. And your right, we always get a great turn out, with tons of positive feed back. I'll be glad to bring up your question to some others and see what they have to say. A spring shoot would be fun before they kick camp off for summer.

If it ever comes to fruition, contact me for help. I live about 5 miles away

Gasper River's first shoot was such a success, they decided to make this one a 2 day event with an added money event. If you wasn't at the last one, you missed out on a good range with good people. Check it out on 3/25 or 3/26.
