I went to check on the half free patch that produced so well last year. No new half frees so I guess that patch is finished for the year. Did pick these 2-4” yellows nearby.

the patch of half frees I found last year produced zero this year. the big black patch that produced awesome last year only 10 this year. I am finding some nice yellows but unless they start producing a lot more not gonna get what I got last year.

That is awesome! I checked a few black patches in Jefferson and I think they’re done. Hit my Hart county farm’s yellow/grey spots and nada!

Don’t forget to check any dogwoods by the house. I don’t know why but my buddy found another patch under a small dogwood.

Va and in two different counties. Don't have any pics but my buddy and his brother found 300 big yellows yesterday
