It’s been an awesome 2 days! Taking my wife this afternoon.
I told the ol man I'd help him today but the rest of the week not to bother ringing my phone bc I'm gonna be in da woods!
Don't think I've seen a bowl of peckerheads that big! Haha
Just starting to pop here in va. Found 27
Found 82 Grey's this eve after work
found 25 whites this evening. @Feedman I think this hat is lucky! .... Sure was nice to meet with you other day
Wife and I hit a few of our black patches in Jefferson and were pleasantly surprised to find 42 of which more than 3/4 being really fresh. I may hit them one more time in a week but really don’t expect to find any newly popped. Spent the evening freezing and drying a bunch of what we have found the past 2 days. Froze 2 full cookie sheets of blacks and 1 of half frees.
That’s something I’ve never tried doing
I still haven’t found a black one yet this year and I’ve looked 3 diff times in a place I found several last yr.
We found three greys today just like in the bottom of your picture. These were the first for this season.
My Grandson found the first two and I finally found one.
Now bring on the yellows.
Try it. I never let mine go to winter like I intended but there almost as good as fresh picked no joke...surprised the crap outta me
Nice to meet you too. I have the coon placed in my office an it looks great hanging there.
this one was between 2 cow pies
That one has a lil extra flavor
It'll fry just like the rest
