I checked 3 spots this morning that always produce and nothing. Woods was very dry but raining here now so hopefully they will be popping up soon

Headed to the black, yellow and grey patches anticipating finding mature blacks and some fresh greys and yellows following the rain. Found 12 blacks which was a mixture of very mature to really fresh. The yellow and grey patches are ones that I have picked a couple thousand in the past 20 years. I found ONE! I guess they still haven’t popped in my area. 1F5B8E55-ECBB-4931-BF43-B55579D70C89.jpeg

A couple buddies and I headed west. Not sure of the total count, but somewhere between 80-100. Nice dead head and one shed.

The last few rains should do it for my local spots...buddy found some fresh grays yesterday and I anticipate I’ll get a good report today as well.

I've always heard eating too many of those "half free", "falsie", or "pecker heads" will make you sick. Anyone got any experience with that? I usually find 5-6 with every mess I find and never noticed any sickness with that few. That however is a bunch Recurve and his lady found!!!
