Watch out when shooting fireworks. I had a lab that when we went to shoot any fireworks , we had to put him on a leach .
He went nuts when they were lit and went off. He wanted to fetch them all.[/QUOTE]
That sounds about right. If you throw it, hit it, or shoot it, he will try to get it and bring it back to you.

Lol, sounds like my neighbor's klepto golden retriever. If it is not nailed down, he just might take it. He is not as bad as he was about all but still bad. One of my dogs attempted to take his cat this afternoon, and only because it had slinked into the bottom field. I let him chase and then called him off. Was entertainment for all. They typically get along. She was simply not where she was supposed to be.

No morels upon my property this morning. Showed the lead man of my county extension office photos of my curious shrooms, after having discussed various plants. He quickly lifted his hands within in the air, as soon as I said the word "mushroom", as if I had placed him at gunpoint. I found all to be rather peculiar, and he quickly informed me that he is not authorized to discuss nor attempt to identify mushrooms, because someone might die, if he misidentified one.

He said that he is not under the impression that they are frequently hunted here within Kentucky. I wasn"t too sure that I believed him, informing him, "au contraire". He elaborated that hunting for them across the state line in Illinois was extremely popular. I told him I had a feeling something was amiss up here about all, being that good field guides for the region appear to be lacking compared to where I am from, and that I had noticed UKY failed to publish much data. I elaborated that I never eat wild shrooms and merely photograph them, learning as I go and had done so for a long time now. He then felt comfortable enough to provide me with a contact name. I think the blacks may be about finished in Central KY. I picked 5 in Hart on my farm and 9 on a property in Edmonson (all around 1 poplar tree). Varied stages and only 1 was brand new. 5ADB2C8E-2DA3-4BB0-9C7E-74A534333F5A.jpeg

I checked my spots today, saw nothing. Last year it was the 17th before I found any. Just thought since we got some warm days they may have popped a few.

I looked for Mushrooms yesterday in my woods. Didn't find any even, in the portions that I was certain I'd find a few. Did see several areas where the Deer & Turkey have been pawing the ground, so I guess they found some.
