True, I figure there’s not a high volume of venison being processed this time of year. My gallon bags of frozen venison should be easy enough to chuck in the grinder without complication. you have to just trust the butchers. Boones maintains a pretty high reputation and they will continue to get my business

I’ll also add that we have had beefs and hogs processed at boones for the last seven years, no complaints

Friend of mine gave me a couple rolls of summer sausage made by Webb’s butchers last year. I liked it

Not looking for a bite, but there is a reason Boone's went to the display of the "We batch" sign several years back.

Isn't that just for burger and specialty items? I could be wrong.

Sounds like you know a little bit more now I’m curious, is that somewhat of a standard practice throughout most shops or a boone’s specialty

Hopefully they'll be back open in 2021. They weren't accepting deer in 2020.

Guess I'll add in a little more because of the interest......I used Boone's for many years for salami type products. Back years ago, they charged an upcharge to use YOUR meat. They had a minimum amount (maybe 35lbs from memory) to create your own batch. I found out on 2 occasions my own batch is not what I got back, so I quit using them. They now (from what I'm told and per 1Wildcat's post) clearly state they batch ground/cooked products.

Boone's in not the spectacular place some have made it out to be. A friend of mine's dad works there and he bragged about having a freezer full of deer tenderloins and backstraps....he doesn't hunt nor do people give it to him. He noticed my expression and tried to back off what he had just said.

I have seen first-hand some of meat they accept and it does cause a concern.
