I have 1 last hunt this weekend followed by a get together and then i will be trying cold weather fishing. I am a little apprehensive to be honest.

Tville was 44-46 degrees Sunday. We caught our crappie in 8 ft on jigs with nibbles. Couldn’t get a minnow to hit. But I was graphing crappie at 15 ft and one guy at the ramp said he was catching them at 15 ft. I just couldn’t get out of the wind enough to fish that deep.

I just can’t wait for Green to stabilize. That’s where I do my freezer filling.

Caught a couple Monday morning before the wind picked up. I'm assuming this was Monday or this past weekend. Love striper fishing good weather during the winter on Cumberland.

I'm a crappie, catfish and white bass guy. Been a few years back but got into white bass way up a creek on barren. Guys used to catch crappie good in skaggs and beaver creeks when the lake was low and starting to warm. It's a mess and high now though.

I just assume fish the river any more as there aren't ski doers and houseboats and other knuckle heads running around.

Hit a couple of ponds this afternoon. Just too nice to not get out and do something. First fish of the year, 3lbs 7oz. Great start! fish.JPG SCALES.JPG

  15. I haven’t pond fished in ages. 25+ years ago my fishing buddy and I had 50+ ponds around the county we’d hit 2-3 times a week. Caught some lunkers, including a monster 10 pounder we snuck in and caught one night out of the Murray Bait pond lol. Sorry Catfish! Anyway, everybody posts their property these days so don’t pond fish anymore.
