My dad and I both got our biggest bucks to date this week. Maybe 2020 isn't so bad after all!
My son turned 5 this month and wanted to go deer hunting with me. I gladly brought him along and he did a great job sitting still and quiet. Heck... I know some adults that can barely do that. Little man was super excited and called grandma to tell her all about it on the drive back, when we got home he was dragging the Mrs out of the house to come see it. It definitely made me proud.
I shot this buck at last light - honestly guys I thought it was a doe... I didn’t even see the rack. I smelled the buck funk as I was walking up to him. Not a giant rack but a really big body - I got a ton of meat off of him.
We just bought 96 acres in Nelson county so he is the first buck I’ve harvested off that land. Last week I harvested the first doe off that land. I’ve asked my buddy to euro mount the doe and buck which I’m going to have made into a wall plaque.
This guy let the ladies get him in trouble this morning.
