Don't take this as me being a smart ! But I have been in 114 the last two weekends. Everyone is seeing deer if they stay in the woods. If you are at the truck 30 minutes after daylight you won't see much. And while that seems like I am stating the obvious. 40-50% of the hunters I have are driving around by 0730. Just go into one of those hollers and sit as long as you can.
Still looking for some additional info on area 8 just woundering if they had any luck last year on the quota hunt . I got the second hunt just looking for someone that has hunted it to see what there thoughts on area 8 was.
I've been selected for area 35 for the first hunt. Is this a good area? If so where should I hunt at in that area?
Area 5? First weekend..... Seen were someone said not worth it but was that cause of bein drawn 3rd wknd or was it cause of just overall that area sucks lol......any advice on area be helpful i hunted area 3 bout 10 yrs ago
I noticed something different on the paperwork this year. It says that if you do not have a DOD ID or AIE you must obtain one from the visitor's center. So all of the gun hunters have to first go to the visitor's center to get a pass before they will be allowed to access the hunting areas? Can anyone confirm this?
jsc3150, That is correct, all hunters. You must go to Visitors Center, get a ticket number , get in line with the rest of the crowd, will need photo ID. Can take some time if there is a crowd. I think ?? is open from 6:00 am to 9:00pm
Got drawn for area 34 for Nov 19-20. Never been in area. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Any info on area 89 would be greatly appreciated. Got it Nov 19-20. I have hunted in 10, and both 52s if anyone wants info there.
So if we get a visitor pass on Friday, is it only good for Friday or is it good for the entire weekend? Surely we will not have to go back and all check in at the same place everytime we enter the base for the duration of the hunt.
