I am sure this has been answered but I have not found it.
On the Friday before gun hunt when you sign up for your area. Does everyone have to pick a area or just the person who set up
The group?

If you put in as a group for a weekend and that Friday each person tries to apply for the same area in group will everyone get drawn if enough space is available . What happens if someone else is applying at same time and only 4 out 5 people get to get in same area that group of 5 was trying for . I understood it to be if you had a group code everyone could get in same area but had to check in individually ?

Just trying to make sure we can all get in same area . I guess we can call each other and try to enter at same time . Does anybody know if you can back out and change areas if everybody can’t get in on same area Friday ?

Yes you can cancel your reservation and make a different one. It will also tell you how many slots are left when you make yours

I saw on the guidelines everyone has to go through the same gate, seems like its going to be a long line. also are they going to provide directions to the areas like they have in the past? thanks

I am sure you can call and get directions from HC but, if you are asking if the gate guards are going to be able to tell you where you area is I would say no. You are not going to be getting a packet as was the case before.

I have seen on isportsman where they are posting individual map for gun hunt areas. They have a few posted for the youth hunts this weekend. I would guess you could use those to help access your areas for directions.

Guys, the group number is only for your group if you applied for the 15 so-called lottery areas, that is over. If you did not apply for the lottery areas, then you just reserve an area the day prior based on your tier level times. If you want to hunt with 4 others then you all must reserve the day prior or check-in the morning of (if there are slots open) under the checkin tab it tells you how many openings there are in each area. there are no packets this year, if you don't know your way around, I would get to HC and buy a $5 map. you can also open the hunting area map right on the HC home page. Good Luck

When you say 15 or so lottery areas. Are they keeping the same areas open for lottery hunts for all 3 weekends and if so. Do they know the areas they are going to open.?
