Saw a 4 pointer thIs morning around 815ish dogging a doe. Came right past me about 15 yds from my stand. Other than that nothing so far in Marion county. Giving it a shot tonight, we will see what happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Got settled in the stand about an hour ago here in Logan co. First hunt of the year and so far 2 does. Should be a great afternoon.
I've seen 5 different bucks so far just getting to my stand this afternoon. All small but cool none the less. 2 worked a scape and sparred a little.
Not out got a house full of family here to eat BUT Watching 9 Doe and a small Buck about 80 yards out my back door eating in one of my food plots.
Saw one turkey, two squirrels, a man on a hour wheeler and a bull dozer. No kidding a freaking bulldozer in the middle of the woods. Landowner is not going to be happy about that.
Was in my stand way early this morning hoping for a shot on one of three shooter weve been getting on camera. All I saw was two squirrels and two trespassing ginseng hunters. Stayed till 12:00 and left! Didnt even attempt to go back tonight
Despite it being the opening day of muzzleloader, I decided to take the bow. 30 mins ago I just watched the biggest buck I've seen in 3 years duck in the woods at about 60-70 yards. Really kicking myself right now. Mainframe 10 with some trash around the bases and a couple kickers. Probably around 150" before counting the junk. I'm sick!
Didn't see anything this morning. Tree got to moving so much it felt like a carnival ride so i got down. Hope the morning is better
Was out in western Muhlenberg for a couple hours around 10 till 12 showing property lines to the guy we were working for, deer central and never heard that first shot. Heard one single muzzleloader shot while sitting on the porch about a hour ago and that was it.
Went for my first sit all year. Got in the stand at 6:45 sat til 10. Jumped a couple on the way out. Found a five inch cedar shredded. That was all that got me excited.
Seen 5 does this evening on the way back half way to the truck I came across something stinking you cant mistake that smell. Buck on rut Sure enough when I got to the edge of the bean field there was that buck walking about 150 yards in front of me on the edge of the field.
Got in ladderstand before daylight, seen a small fawn and his mom right at daybreak. Heard several shots before the rain set in.Got down and headed for the hunting shack.Turkeys were everywhere.I think I seen enough to start a turkey farm. Seen 11 does and four bucks.Biggest buck was about a 14 " wide seven point. He will be a good one next year.Had a pretty good day.
