Guarding my lovely bluebirds
The Commie Stink Bugs having invaded the house became brave enough to come out of hiding and hike their rumps up into the air the past few days, due to warming temperatures, and I have been taking no prisoners while commandeering them one by one.

:cool:I tossed each stink bug outside! This is for my general locale, but the link includes all special weather statements:

"412 AM CST Fri Jan 15 2021

...Snow showers may cause scattered slick spots this afternoon
and tonight....

Snow showers are expected to develop across the region this
afternoon and persist into the overnight hours. Accumulations will
be spotty and generally a half an inch or less.

Ground and air temperatures are forecast to be primarily above
freezing during the daytime hours. However, a few of the showers
this afternoon may be strong enough to produce very isolated
bursts of moderate to even heavy snow.
If the heavier snow showers
develop, road surfaces could briefly be coated with snow and
become slick. In addition, visibilities could be reduced to well
under a mile within the heavier snow showers.

Friday night, as temperatures cool to near freezing, a few slick
spots may develop, mainly on bridges and overpasses."

Snow coming down pretty good here! Headed out the door! Good luck and stay safe!

Have fun! Opened the front door to peek and was blasted with frigid air, causing me to quickly slam it and start some decaf to brewing. I'm not going out there to verify what we may or may not have as of yet, but it's not much, if anything at all. I hope they are grossly wrong, and that we receive a blizzard !

Cold bothers you and you drink decaf? Me thinks there is something wrong with you.

Lol, probably many things, as if you are perfect, psssh!

Decaf contains a small percentage of caffeine, and being a long-time "decaffer", having once upon a time consumed two pots of regular coffee, daily, my petite body can easily detect it within the decaf coffees, trust me, Marshy. I do not like the jitters of any kind, while I do possess a weakness for peanut M&M's and will chow down upon them like a squirrel will acorns.

My rose garden's mulching held a dusting of snow at dawn, as did a few other elevated areas, such as one import turbo parked outside, which I could not care less about, and the rooftops within my subdivision. Still patiently awaiting my blizzard for some fun on the roadways.

Bad season for me but could always be worse. Just wrapped up cleaning trailer, side by side & decoys (sorta). Snows were tough as usual & think I will pass on a couple invites back to Ark & Ill & get ready for crappie.

Snows whipped our butts opening day and the next in Arkie last week.
Next year we are either going back to Ark for snows later in the season or bailing completely and go hunt lessors in Oklahoma earlier in the year.

We've got a trip scheduled for the first week of March to NE AR. There's always a chance when booking that late but seems it'll be great this year. Snows definitely aren't migrating any time soon.

Saw a few thousand of them while traveling from Hayti (MO) to back home yesterday. At least 2k landing in field, with a lot more in the air. Saw one large pond with a couple hundred ducks, as well. If we don't get iced up bad this weekend, I'll be hunting honkers in a cut corn field. Might actually have some luck, since the temps should have the WMA's in the river bottoms locked up.
