been in safe past 35 yrs and hardly shot. shoot 22 short long and LR,lever action tube feed but anyone reading this knows that haha. has deep engravings on both side reciever and a area on grip backstrap. the receiver sides are like new and shiney for 1957. the barrel has light surface rust in a few spots. but a man with knowledge like a few old friends used to have could use oil and light wool and have it looking new. im afraid id mess up but i may try. i see this gun online a few places but never seen this exact engraving at all. looks like it had gold leaf inside the engraving thats slightly faded over the yrs. the action is still rather tight when levering it. i just shot it yesterday first time in 25 yrs or better. gave it to my dad as i have many others in my life and they all came back in same cond. i need new tires for my 4x4 so im gonna let this go for 700 cash. i have looked up a few and talked to a gun dealer friend and he told me this was low as i should go. so im starting there and not wasting nobodys time.
