I've found the window seal makes a great rest..
Around 11. I want to see the temps get above 20 before i head out.
Just now settled in my ground blind that we saw 13 deer from yesterday between 9:30 and 2:30. Hoping for a repeat with a big boy joining in the activity.
It's a bay window... If I could wiggle the rifle thru one of the slide windows, the concussion would probably blow out the main glass part. It's only about 6 feet from the living room door to the rail of the deck however!
p.s. Had a little 6 point come in a bit ago. Not interested in the does at all but was sure after the corn! Still waiting for a big 'un!
I never seem to see much movement on frigid mornings. Didn't see much yesterday. Had planned on heading out at lunchtime for the remainder of the day until my wife reminded me of having a plumber come over "sometime this afternoon" Grrrr.
They were hitting the corn hard this morning, does & little bucks that is. No chasing though. Hoping for some action as it starts warming up.
BTW I splurged on a cold weather Sitka bibs and coat set with hat about 4 years ago. It’s just like sitting in my living room inside this thing. Definitely worth the money on the cold mornings. No wind gets through it
I sat all day in a tree in my Sitka yesterday . I actually had to unzip the top midday to cool off some. They are expensive but worth it to me.
Seen a bruiser a bit ago leaving deer camp heading east. Good luck fellers and stay warm. The wind has been relentless (to a mountain boy) in west ky, this is the first calm morning ive seen
Son coming out at lunch. I took tractor put hay out for Cows. Seen 6 Doe and 2 Bucks. Small Bucks.
Good luck guys. Daughter and I hunted from daylight to dark yesterday and never saw the first deer. Couldnt believe it. We had been seeing 20+ a day buck hunting, yesterday was fill the freezer today but it didnt work out. Still thawing out today. May get back out tom.
She made it too easy. On my 4 wheeler trail and stomping at me, 100 yards behind the house. Saved ALL the meat on this one!
Nice! I try to not body shoot any of em if I can help it for that reason.
If you could get her to field dress herself, you would have it made...
We're did you shoot her meatstick. What kind of stock is that
Right above the eye.
Boyds thumbhole stock.
