My son hunted yesterday evening and saw several deer. He said every buck he saw visited the mock scrape close to him.
Last night after dark, my wife took our dogs outside and said she heard 2 bucks fighting nearby.

 

Heading out shortly. No blinds for me, will stick to the ground however. Got lots of hot hands. See how long I can stand it

 

Wearing A good pair of Long Johns should help keep one warm.

 

Some how gonna try and hunt today and tomorrow. Being a HVAC guy you don't get many chances to hunt in the cold this early in the year. Im wainting for the wind to shift and not be out of the north early this morning then im headed in for a all day set. Shouldn't be to bad once sun comes up. But its pretty chilly. My little heat pump is running with all its might here at the house this morning. AUX heat lingering on and off. HA

I’m headed out shortly. Haven’t decided to sit or stand yet. Wind doesn’t look very bad at all so I will probably be up in a stand so I can see more in these hardwoods. Good luck everyone!

 

Im going to go in after daylight maybe around 8-830 this morning.
Thursday is going to have 30mph gust,high winds according to weather forecast. Not good.

Headed in right at sunrise with several layers on. One of the few mornings I wish I had invested in a pop-up blind and little gas heater.

Been watching 3 does and a whole horde of turkeys from my nice warm living room window... Figure I can always run out onto the porch if a buck shows up! lol!
