Long time reader but first post. I promise a proper intro at some point.

    My question is this:
All “youth” requirements start at 12 years old. I’m taking my 11 year old nephew hunting for the first time this weekend. He doesn’t need a license, but the question we can’t seem to find an answer to is the tagging requirement.

If he’s fortunate enough to harvest a deer, what’s the process for tagging? If there is none, how does the Dept. account for what he takes?

    Thanks for the prompt response!

My understanding is (even if license exempt you must tele check and record it somehow on a harvest log sex, confirmation number, county code etc
