Great day today but still no shooters..saw over 30 deer today. At one point there were 20+in the plot tonight

Well, as of today I’m done. I’m strictly a meat hunter. Last Friday I shot a 10 point. Not a trophy, but a good size deer. Today I shot a good size doe. That’s enough meat for my wife and I for the year, and the best part is I don’t have to face the orange army!

Stuck a solid young 8 tonight. Needed to get my confidence back, and just plain enjoy hunting without worries about antler size. Wanted the huge 6 that came by 10 minutes before. But I grunted to stop him and he bolted. That’s twice today that’s happened.

Doe patrol for me in the morning boys. Got two teenagers eating everything but their shoes, and another deer or three would help a lot.

Congrats to 110 on a great buck. And congrats to the other posters who’ve killed. Antler size is irrelevant. Having fun and enjoying God’s creation is what matters.
