Anyone have any scent free sunscreen! Set up on a clover plot facing the sun this afternoon. Didn’t see a deer or squirrel in my morning sit in a stand in oak woods and haven’t seen an acorn yet today on my Hart farm. Concerned that the acorn crop may be poor here. 1st time here in 2 months.

 

I'm back out for the evening. Really wishing I hadn't took my thermacell out of my back pack a couple weeks ago. This is the first day I have been in this stand since last year. Last night I drove by and there was a nice buck with a doe. This spot seems like alot of times they will be here 1 day and gone for a couple but we will see.

 

Not expecting very much with these temps but maybe last 30 minutes one could get lucky.

What I’m hoping for. I’m buck hunting now but I will take a couple more meat does if they are by themselves.

 

Don't count it out for the temp, boys. I'm grilling on the back deck, and there's been 2 chases in the holler by 2 different bucks, one of em a 130" 10 point, in the last 15 minutes. So, I got the crossgun sittin by me and the grill

 

Wish I’d get one of the rumored chases close to me

How convenient. Shoot him and throw him on the already hot grill. I like it!

 

I didn't want to go out and mess up the woods for next weekend. So I sat outside house trying to shoot squirrells with pellet gun. Really just sitting out side cuz it was nice. Heard some deer running through the woods I was watching and it was a decent buck pushing a doe about 75 yards in front me.

 

Well I should have listened to my gut no deer and as I was climbing down my bow rope broke but thankfully it was only about 5ft from the ground.

 

They was rumors around us tonight. Nothing but squirrels. Now last night my son had chasing all evening

 

Dead this afternoon didn’t see a deer after 11am. I did get to see a bald eagle fly by pretty close, I think there was a tear in it’s eye.

 

I found some older still in package "acorn scent spray " . I thought what the heck I'll try it since im hunting oak ridges. Had multiple deer cross my path and they never alerted the least bit. Even had a small 8pt track me to the tree lol.
