I’m up, hoping for some action. Can’t set at house and get them.

 

Anyone else killing mosquitoes?

 

I’m back , new spot this afternoon. Had a small 8 absolutely wear out a doe in bean field this morning. Pretty slow. Up in climber where I saw new scrape /rub on edge of bottoms and beans

 

Mowed yards for last time and almost talked myself into not going cause it’s warm but got weak and went. Decided to switch farms for this afternoon. Actually a few acorns over here.

 

Been in since 3 here in Scott Co. nothing so far we will see what happens.

 

Big zero this afternoon. Went to a different farm that’s only been hunted twice this year and actually has some acorns. Deer just not moving much today with these warmer temps. Try again tomorrow.

 

Its burning up today! Temp wise.

 

Dang i figured everyone of you would kill one today while i worked.

 

I didn’t have any luck this evening but the property across the creek was going crazy. Sounded like the woods were being tore down. Usually they run across the creek to my side but not tonite. Back at it in the morning.

 

Hunted my lease for the first time this year. It’s pretty wide open and doesn’t have much woods other than in the draws between crop fields. Better for gun than bow, that’s why I’ve stayed out.
Hunted a stand in fence row near two corners where two fields meet, I can see to my right across most the property.
At 4pm I had a wide 8 with tiny brows tall g2 but short G3’s come by at 25 yards in the beans. He surprised me and almost got an arrow. Between 5 and dark I ended up seeing 7 does at various yardage and two bucks.
Those two bucks were quite nice, but the closets was 200 yards and the other at 700ish, I watched them through my binos. The closet one responded to grunts but there was a doe and she pulled him away. The further buck was dogging does. Overall it was a great hunt, mainly went to scout. Glad I did.

 

Yes sir, I did. Had two does come by on a bench below me but nothing following. Squirrels sure were out though. I swear some of sound like they’re 100 pounds coming through the woods.

 

Zilch for me this afternoon. All I saw was bats and squirrels. Back in morning.

 

Glad to read it’s slow for others. Thought it was just me. Saw several young bucks cruising after does early all week. Afternoon sits are slow! Still nice to be in a tree.Turkeys gobbled their heads off this morning. Think I’ll go fishing...78degrees?!!

 

Had a 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10pt move through this morning. None big enough to make me pick up my bow.

Only saw 3 does this afternoon. My buddy saw 15 with a good 8 pushing a doe just out of range

 

Saw a little 7 pushing a doe in circles in a 600 yard radius. Her fawns running behind her.
