Had a nice sunrise with this cute little 8. He was just even with his ears.


Then this 8 came in behind me stomping and pawing. Saw him from the side and got excited for a half a second. He wasn’t 10” wide. About 18 tall though 🤦‍♂️

Had a hot doe come in waving her tail. She peed all around me. I was like, it’s on now… one spike came through. That was it.

Didn’t hear a lot of shots.

The past several days I’ve been fighting this darn cold, sinus drainage thing that’s been going around. Just started feeling somewhat better so I just climbed up for a short 2 1/2 hr hunt before the UofL-UK game.

Dad popped a fat yearling should be good Eating. He forgot to stop her and thought he gut shot her, but perfect moving broadside shot. I have yet to get a heart from his deer.
His second this year, and third ever. He was really excited lol. I saw the other one from the stand but didnt shoot through the limbs, looked like she was waiting for the one that was down.

We’re back in for the PM edition. Got a lot of fresh buck sign (although I’ll shoot whatever gets me excited) so I went up and down the ridge with some Tinks (which rhymes with stinks for a reason). Good luck y’all!

Funny I had to message my wife and tell her I heard one of the goats sounding rough(heard it all the way up here). She went out to check and she’s dropping kids as we speak.

Back in for the afternoon. Put out 100 pounds of corn yesterday about 4....about 10 pounds left. Gotta invest in a feeder

It’s straight down hill there but no it’s not mountains. I usually hunt the woods but 4 creek draws converge in one spot… it’s been hot this year with all the acorns and dry weather.

I’m going to work on dads truck, replace thermostat and hit a hayfield till dark. Going full tilt and setting up smack in a bed tomorrow. All or nothing I reckon.
