I'm seeing more deer than I did last year, but all small compared to pre EHD. I guess that can be expected since we are watching the herd regrow from scratch. I'm in meat hunting mode now, not going to be too choosey.

 

Here in greenup,been hunti g my property of evening seeing tons of doe,tried this morning 2 scrubs sparing,and little 8 pt,and 4 doe,just luck or morning place,lol.Dont matter no shooters anyway lol

 

Got two Doe's bedded at 40 yrds been there for a couple hours.
About ready to call it really hate to bump them.

 

Same here I’m just looking for meat. I went to my favorite spot and put out some corn and mineral block and camera. Trying to see how it’s recovered.

 

Nobody hunting this afternoon? I’m in the blind in Jefferson co,came in around 3 and jumped a basket 8.

Me and connor was running late but were here looking for a doe. I brought a blind and set up in a field edge where I have been seeing a few does

I'm hunting fort knox. Seen a spike this morning and nothing else.

 

Skunked this morning in the oaks. Sitting in a tower stand on the standing bean field. First time I have sit here in 2 years. I haven't seen a deer on our farm in 4 days.

 

Saw my first KY bear this morning up on Rockcastle river.

 

It's been damn near dark here since 4. The deer loved it. Same song and dance for me today. Does and scrubs. Ducks starts Thursday. Give a damn about a deer after that, unless a good one catches me home and wanders through the back 40.

 

My son , 11 year old granddaughter and I set up in a blind over looking a creek bottom and a corn pile for her 1st hunt ever. We bumped a buck as we approached the blind and he ran away crossing the creek. 45 minutes later we have a 4 pointer come to the corn providing a perfect broadside shot for 2-3 minutes but she just couldn’t be convinced the pull the trigger. I think she wants a bigger one. Just before dark we had a another small buck come in behind the blind 15 yards away but was between us and the house 100 yards away. Taking the twin 10 year old grandsons in the morning. I don’t believe either of them
Will be that picky.

 

My oldest got his second deer ever this eve. Young doe but i couldn’t be prouder!!!
