Good name for my season
Wind picking up a bit in Bullit county
I gave in and came home early. I almost drowned in that 20% chance of rain the "experts" predicted. I have a MRI in the morning and had to clean gutters before the real rain hits. If 20% is this wet, I'd hate to see what their 70% will do in the morning!.
Oh yeah.....I've let a small 8point and a 6 point walk so far. It needs to be a dandy before I pull the trigger, because I will most likely need to call a friend for help getting it in. The young'uns are safe with me..
Three does just came by like they were delivering mail. Nothing behind them. And closest they got were 30 yards
I seem to have better luck on damp overcast evenings.
It can’t get any calmer here
Thats my favorite spot to aim for.
One small spike at 740 this morning and a little doe at 2 this evening. What a day.......
Sounds slow but beats a stick in the eye.
I got skunked this evening. Probably sleep in tomorrow and work up that doe while it's raining
I've let two decent bucks walk this year so far, two more than usual...lol. Next weekend, not making any promises.
Day total of 11 does and 7 scrubs.
Skunk soup for me today. I think the 100 OOS hunters killed them all. Said all 8 of them have tagged out and their buddies will be coming in tonight to start hunting. At this rate, deer will be extinct in my area. We did find a dinky 8 pt they shot and couldn't find. So much for letting them walk.
That’s putting a hurting on the deer.
One lone spike for me this afternoon....
