I didn’t see any deer but enjoyed my sit. I’m thinking it’s a little warm for much deer movement. Good luck to all who are still out.
Ahh not to worry. Remember a lot of these guys got up in the middle of the night to carry 40 lbs. of "stuff" in the dark to a spot where the deer aren't chasing. Their only other choice was staying home listening to someone tell them what they SHOULD be doing. Reason enough for a reduced sense of humor.
Took the wife this morning and I’ve never saw it so dead for the amount of sign in that spot. Oh well I’ll stick right with her until she gets one!
Didn’t see any this morning. Came out and set up the blind over our corn field which they picked yesterday and the deer HAMMERED it last night. Should be a good sit. My #1 target buck is still alive and well. Hit the same scrape 3 times Thursday night. Just need him to slip up in day light. Also found a fork horn someone poached this week on the drive out. Shoot your local spot lighter.
Just got in the stand in Clark County. Stayed at the hunting cabin last night with the family. Was going to get up and hunt this morning while they laid in bed. My young boys were up at 6am asking for breakfast. Decided to stay in and make them a feast. Got a Cellular Cam pick from my stand around 8:30. A STUD I’ve never seen before was standing at a perfect 20 yard shot. All I could do is shake my head. The boys have been sent to Grandmas for the next 24 hours while the wife and I hunt for that big boy. Hang in there everyone. Anything could happen at any moment this time of year.
This nanny won't be spoiling any more hunts. She winded me at 70 yards. Waited 10 mins for her to clear some brush before I had a shot. Her nose went up about every 30 seconds.
