Not seen a hair this morning.staying little longer go check some cams man tough season.
Disappointed to say the least, haven’t seen a trace of a deer all morning, gonna sit another hour or so then pull camera cards and regroup for the evening hunt.
Had 5 come in before 8 and nothing since. Had a nice you 10 come in at 30 yards and I am kicking my tail for not even drawing
but I have my heart set on an old buck we call Ole Tymer with a weird rack that won’t score for anything
I’m seeing a lot of action. Saw a shooter 9 pointer and a big 7 breed a doe and several bumping and chasing. Hope the 9 comes back around closer.
Good cruising activity in last 1 1/2 hours here. All passed close to the corn pile but only 1 stopped for a bite. The little 8 harassed a couple of does in the thicket.
Disappointed right there with you. Heard a buck grunt next ridge over early that’s it. Been off since last Thursday hunting every day and so far this is the worst week before gun opener I can remember in a long time. Deer are here I know just not moving much.
Seen a 4 yr old 10 this morning not close enough though. 5 does, a 2.5 yr old 8 cruised by about 10. Decent morning so far
Just had first deer of morning come in. Doe went right to scrape in front of me.
Got out this morning, wind was constant but not to to hard. Every deer stayed out to far. Surprised I haven't seen or heard any chasing. Did hear a close hight power rifle shot at 7:35 just a single shot not saying I’m just saying.
All I’ve seen since about 9am is a spike. Gonna get down head to the house and charge the phone and take a nap.
I've been in deer all morning, bucks chasing does around. Rattled one in early two different times and haven't been able to hardly move since. Momma and twins bedded 10 ft from me now and a small 7 bedded in a ditch about 50 yards.
If only they knew a deadly apex predator was right next to them texting on his phone about them to a global connective network using a piece of glass and plastic the size of a poptart.
I hung and hunted this morning, had a buck chasing in the dark as I was getting my stand put up. Had non stop action for the next couple hours, small bucks chasing, pushing does around. Hated to get down, but had to get to work.
Just settled into a stand in Marion co. Sitting over a crazy good looking funnel where 3 ridges dump together into an old logging road that leads to some fields. Have pictures of 3 mature shooters in this spots so hoping one is out looking for love this evening. This is the first time I’ve hunted this spot, I purchased the farm last December and held out of it all this year till the time got right. Good luck everyone
One spike so far herein Boyle County
