I started to go this evening; glad I didn’t. Raining pretty hard here.
Beautiful stand pics guys. Here is a ten pt from a few minutes ago...
Sweet pics. Saw one doe in Morgan county. It was the size of a squirrel (grey squirrel not red). Hoped something might be following but no luck
Toughed it out all day had a basket 6 at 12 yards. Almost got a dandy 8 pointer with my bumper on the way home
Well had my big 8 at 30 yards. Close as he came. Wife saw 5.
I had a good evening besides it started to rain at 520 and I got soaked.7 does and 2 bucks.A small 8 and something slipping around the ridge. I seen 20 deer on the way home tonight.
Did he not present a shot or needed him closer for the recurve? I don't know about yardage and recurves.
After I saw that doe bed down behind me I had this guy slip down below me along the same trail and push her and another doe I hadn’t seen around. He played the script perfect. Hunting the leeward side of a steep ridge. My Wind was blowing right over him in this pick.
My target buck popped out at 3 o’clock this afternoon. I should have shot. He took the opposite route of which I thought he would take. I got greedy hoping I could get him in closer. Should have shot him at 30 yards when I had the chance.
Then at 6 all hell broke loose. 4 different bucks were chasing a doe. Not the one I’m after of course lol. They were grunting and hitting scrapes and rubbing trees. Wildest hour I’ve had in a stand in a long time.
Yeah little out of my range.
Sat this evening for about 4 hours. Skunked ! Back at it in the morning.
