Dead the whole sit. Then had one under me at dark. Couldn’t tell if it was that 10pt or a basket 6. Could barely make it out even at 17 yards.

Oh well. I slipped out without making a scene. Pulled camera card and made a mock scrape where he was standing.

I just got settled in. I am halfway expecting to see green jeans before I leave. I parked my truck about 60 yards away from 2 bowhunters unloading a SxS. Wondering if they saw my shiny stainless rifle and made a call lol. Made sure to have all my paperwork on my person

Sat all day in Estill co, in a creek bottom. Did a scent drag with doe pee on it and hung it up near my stand. Had a young 8pt cruise thru about 9:30 and then a little spike this evening about 6:40. He was fun to watch when he caught wind on the doe pee. Got all excited and started circling around trying to see the doe that wasn’t there. Did that for 30 minutes then wandered off.

Scrubs tore the holler down aggrevating a group of does. 4 scrubs and 5 does this evening

I drove from Hardin co home this evening and seen probably 5-6 deer on the way home.

After getting some chores done and another feeder out, checked pics and have a few shooters that got me motivated.

Took the crossbow and my turkey chair over the hill and had a doe with her twins come to within about 20 yards and about 15 minutes later a young buck came through. Thought he was going to come after me. Started high stepping and stomping to within about 20 feet before he lost interest and moved on.

Was a good day!

Edit. I knew you could with rifle but I thought it had to be rifle season. Guess I never gave it any thought.

I sat dark to dark and did not lay eyes on a deer. Just started getting pics of a nice buck in the spot I sat today. Gonna try a different stand in the am. Hunt till I get wet from the looks of the weather report. Good luck to all.

I can’t wait!! Rain fires me up. Looks cool slinging off the strings too.
