Nice looking weapon.
You will be happy with that Smith, run different ammo through it. You can always swap out a trigger group, bolt carrier group, lots of things you can do.
I had one of those and they are very nice. I had the 1:9 also. I lost my group somewhat in the upper 50's (grain). The 55 gr ammo and under were fine. Never shot handloads, factory only. You will be pleased.
I have the same gun with a 1:9 twist. I shoot 55 grain loads through it and I am happy with it. I put a Nikon 223 3x9x40 on top and she will drive tacks.

I put a 1-4 on it the other day. Haven't shot it with the cope yet, but it has been accurate with open sites and cheap ammo.
