    You can subtract 92 woodies one hoody two pintails 1 coot and eleven Mallards from the population. 105 ducks and two geese !!! Best opener I have been on in a while !!!

    I think we all could use some rain.I know some have there own little private holes but the area needs more water than we have now to hold birds.

    Filmed about 300 woodies coming into a hole Friday evening. Just hope it stays warm enough to keep em until Thanksgiving. Saw a few big ducks migrating in too. Fingers are crossed for rain and warm temps !!!!

    I have a few different places I have in mind. All of them have a controlled water levels and only flooded corn for debris.The dog issue might come into play though. They say it only takes ten or so minutes to set up.How true is that ?

    Yes, that slough has a very high upside for ducks if done right, it's even big enough for geese. Keeping the water open might pose a problem with no electric close. You are right about the tresspassers though, Jack had to constantly patrol it. We had some deer hunters come in on us twice...

    P.M. me and I'll let you know whatever I can. I hunted the whole place for two years. Tract 2 could be the best spot in Henderson for waterfowl if it's done right.

    The photo's of the youth hunter at the bottom left, I actually filmed that young mans very first turkey kill and the sunrise over the ice are ones I took two years ago. If you got the money a few of these tracts are awesome !!!!!! Wish I had a few mil just layin' around.

    On ducks, do you sustain your lead or swing through ?

    For me it has everything to do with how far the bird is. If it is 30 yards or closer I usually swing through. 30 yards and further out I tend to sustain my lead.I do this on doves too. Just wondering what yall normally do.
