Exactly. My sons first hunt when he was about 11 we pushed a doe for miles in Central Texas. Not all shots are perfect and the ethical thing to do is understand all the signs of the situation.

Trying to set up a disabled Veteran hunt in Idaho. Has anyone did this? It for four veterans.

He traveled about a 1/4 mile. No blood at all. The arrow went all the way through. Yes I backed out without trying to bump him. Yes I made the right call. Glad I did because I ended up with about 80 lbs. of meat.

I possibly could have but why take the chance? I'm glad I did call in a tracker. The stress that night was over whelming. Yes it was a bad shot. Not really sure what happened. There was another 8 pointer chasing doe all around me. The arrow stunk so I backed out. I am not perfect, but I am ethical.

She has a great reputation. As long as you back out and understand that nothing is guaranteed then you are good to go. I will always call her if I need a tracker.
