My GSP Mine stayed white for a while but now that she is about a year she has some dark spots but you could see them with in a week under all the white fur. But she is not heavily ticked.

Hawks I think the hawks are more than over populated. I have caught them trying to catch my wifes 4 lbs rat she calls a dog in my front pasture and usaully see about three a day on my way home from work.
