I researched safes for a long time a few years ago. It ultimately comes down to what you want out of one and how thick your wallet is. I wanted something with a good fire rating and a plate door. I wound up going with a Heritage.

While one would be nice given the weather that we just had, I can't justify the expense to buy one to sit around and rust for 10 years before I may need it again. You can spend a lot in a hurry, even with the manual lift, by the time you get all of the components to mount one.
I've had this one for a while but I'm finally getting around to doing a bit of inletting on it and am going to bed it. The floor plate is in a little bit of a bind I believe because of how the recoil lug is fitting.
