Last question and then I'll quit bothering you. How was the recoil? I'm currently shooting an 870 12 gauge, 3". I was wondering if there was a significant reduction in recoil with the 20.

        pentail
yep, very significant reduction. The little remington has a good pad on it and recoil wasn't bad at all

Thanks. I might check back with you later on and see how the TSS loads do. I would love to get lucky and have it shoot true to POA and forego the sight.

      Good morning Pentail,
Have you had a chance to shoot your 870 20 gauge? I am considering picking up one at Whittakers and would like to know your impressions of the setup and how it patterned at 40. I am a little concerned if such an inexpensive sight can withstand the recoil of turkey gun. Thanks.

I haven't yet with turkey loads. Hope to this week. We have shot it with light loads to get sight close before fine tuning with more expensive loads. Did great with those. I'm a little worried about the sight as well. Mixed reviews online about it

Pentail saw your post on the TSS 20 ga. #9 shot. I shot the grandsons gun yesterday and at 26 yds it was awesome ,but at 40 it had a few holes in pattern. How would u compare the Tightwad to the others you mentioned?
      1. pentail
        pentail
The tightwad was probably the most open of the 3 at longer ranges, but no big holes, still pretty even. It is on an H&R Partner pump. The Longbeard is probably the tightest at 50. It's on a MB 500

I was just wondering . The choke in his gun is a Hevi-shot that has wad strippers and I didn't know if that had anything to do with it .

So in the new political forum it is ok for a member Drakeshooter to call another members family white trash ? Just want to know where I stand if I decide to go off on him in a open forum.

Can you run a check for me ? I posted about the Weatherby Vanguard for sale and am getting all kinds of stupid request. I think most are coming from Allen Cross. Several stupid request from BGBowhunter, JBlack and I just have a feeling they are one in the same as KBHforLife Allen Cross. Pretty sure BGBowhunter is him because he ask a question about the Stoeger shotgun I had up only he would know about.

Thanks....he followed me over to TnDeer and started the same crap but under the screen name of BGArcher. And when I ask about it over there he was gone fast. Things just don't add up when BGBowhunter/KYBh4life is the only person that would even know about the vent rib getting bent from the wild sled ride on the goose hunt I took him on. O-Well once a drunk always a drunk I guess.

PT, I saw your post on FB but I’m in a 30 day timeout, again. I can look but not post. Anyway, I have a couple right wing feather choppers you can borrow anytime. It’s kind of a pain with turkey feathers that haven’t been processed on a feather grinder but not impossible.
      Let me know.

thank ya, sir. I know nothing about the process, so info like that is good. What are you in timeout for this time? lol

FB says I posted a pic with nudity. If they would’ve looked harder they woulda seen the girl in fact had bloomers on....lol.
Look on youtube for a video of how to “strip “ turkey feathers. I’ve cut them with my chopper but had several failures till I figgered it out.
Holler if you want to barrow them.

I like a mix of fruitwood (apple, pecan) and either hickory or pecan.

Hey Pentail. I don't know if you can help me, but I can not post because there is always an add in the post block. It has been that way for some time now, I am just not sure how to fix it.

So there is an add in the actual spot to post? Phone or desktop? The powers that be did some new add blocking procedures a bit ago. Might try clearing old cookies and see if the new blocks work. Let me know
