I haven't been to the "new" trout creek at Wolf Creek. Thought I would give it some time to get established. But been wanting to get out there. Is the "new" creek in walking distance of the camp ground like the "old" one was?

Yes. It is a mile long extension of old creek.
    But different rules below falls.
    Catch and release
    Nothing but artificial lures

Or go down to the last riffle and fish down stream from there.

OK, thanks. Not sure it's worth the effort now.

Here is a suggestion for you. Drive over to the ramp, walk to the left up near the discharge and walk down the hill to the concrete wall. The more discharge the better of course. Take a flat leaded spoon and thro as far up into and across the discharge as possible and hop it back to the bank. Guarantee u catch rainbows, maybe even browns and stripers if good bait is coming through the discharge. Give it a shot u might be surprised.

Yes the old part still has same
Rules. I think it is limit of 5 and no size limit.

Thanks to both of you. Been trying to find detail info on the 'crick' from KFW website...they either don't have specifics or I'm just too dumb to find it.

There are a couple of articles that were written after the completion of the project.
It s pretty amazing, virtually every foot has fish. Even where it braids through the woods.
If you are bringing a kid there is no better place. But don't expect to be alone.

Those would work just fine. I use the Cotton Cordell flat lead spoon in 1/2 ounce. Take a few though cause u are gonna hang a time or two. Braid helps get them back but u may still lose one or two.

I am planning to head down to the dam soon to try to catch some trout. After looking at the generation schedule am I correct in wanting to go when zero generators are in use?
