Both in season last fall, compound bow, Rage® broadhead and empty freezer.
Gimme the back straps. Mmmmm that’s good eatin
Back in the oldin days rule was. Shoot the one that is in the rear of line of travel. If you shoot the lead one the others will see it as an obstacle and scatter. With the rear one they slow down or stop to allow them to catch up.
I'd take the doe myself. Backstraps and burger lasts a bit longer in an empty freezer. Oh and did I mention jerky!!!!!
Shotgun with slug backed up with a 3 1/2 turkey load
Turkey One with a Bow is hard to get. I can shoot a Doe any time.
I'd kill the turkey.
I would kill the turkey. A fresh gobblers breast is hard to beat. I usually have deer meat in the freezer but turkey doesnt last long at my place. Cant wait till my girls get old enough to hunt and fill some tags as well. 2 turkeys in the spring with 3 kids and a wife that all eat it is just a tease. HA
I agree this is good , but not sure i'd pick it over deer heart or inner loin flash seared in butter & garlic
Since I've never hunted Turkey that would be my choice. Never hunted turkey?!
If you like to hunt anything chances are you would love to hunt turkeys. Its more tactical then some other styles of hunting. I love it. When i was a kid i thought deer hunting was impossible to beat. But soon as i killed my first turkey my mind quickly changed forever. Now deer season just fuels my addiction untill spring comes around and the real hunting begins. Haha
The thought of calling a big Tom would be exciting.
