Well you got a nice deck to shoot from! I saw a pretty decent velvet 8 pt standing in the back of someone’s yard in Lexington Monday afternoon. It was about 3:30 pm and the temp read 90degrees on my truck.
My wife won't let me sit out there with my bow. LOL. She says the neighbors would go nuts. And I tell her they'll never know it if I use the bow. And she says, "yes they will know. As soon as you start following a blood trail thru their yards." I have no doubt she's right! LOL
I understand. I grew up in the country with no neighbors but my mom still wouldn’t let us kill anything around the house. They were her “pets”. We walked a mile to squirrel hunt and probably could have limited within site of our house.
Let the dog out the other night and he went running and huffinntonthe back of the fence. Turned out it was a doe and her really young fawn. Mamma wasn't too happy and was pawing at the fence toward the pooch. I went out and got dang near to her before she bolted.
A pretty sight
Yeah, my mom was the same way. My parents kinda lived "out" and they always had deer there. I wanted to take my bow out there and hide in a dry creek with it. And my mom said, "don't you dare!" LOL
They're very relaxing to watch. Last year I had a doe that would nearly come up to me (with two fawns in tow). I used to put out a heap of corn about five feet from my lawn chair and she'd come up and eat it.
Haven't seen her this year...
Just buy you an air rifle and choot dem!
There goes your garden.
