Mollusk center so im going to go with freshwater mussels.
Mussels is what I'm guessing too....I'm just not feeling the excitement....
So what's so good about a mussel that is such extraordinarily news? I'm a dummy so explain?
Going to use bald eagles to air drop mussels along all the ky rivers and lakes.
Maybe they have a new plan of attack to exterminate the Asian Carp?
I believe they stopped mussel fishing a while back due to population decline. I remember the mussel boats on the Green below the Rochester dam when I was a kid with those crows feet deals they caught them with. Maybe they have made a comeback that will allow them to be taken again. They used a lot of them to make buttons out of the shell.
One of my ponds is full with some kind of mussel.
Are they small with stripes ? If so may be a zebra mussel. Sometimes they get carried by birds from one place to another.
Non-game conservation initiative as I understand it. Bringing hikers, bird watchers, cat ladies and their money to the table of conservation.
I can appreciate more people concerned about wildlife but I'm also wary of who has a say in the management of the resource.
