Their early summer runs. One spotted and videoed not far from me a couple days ago. This is in Muhlenberg county near Lake Malone. Gal has video of it running away thru a yard into some woods.

I didn't realize Muhlenberg county had 'bars'. I don't like how they're spreading around--I guess I'll have to start packing a .45 to go bow hunting now.

Just one passes thru seems like every year now. The locals go crazy if anyone even thinks they seen one.

Found this photo of the rare elusive Humming Bear....:D The women that feed the birds around here will go more crazy if they woke up to this on their deck.

Used to make the news when one would stroll through in the spring here in Estill Co. Last few years I've seen enough game cam pics on friends farms it seems it's not so news-worthy. Still haven't seen one myself in Ky.

Better not have a feeder on your porch like that in Letcher County or Ike “Green Britches” will be sharpening his pencil to right you a violation!

I'd tell that officer to go pound sand, I'll see him in court. "Indirectly" is a completely subjective term, and should be changed IMO. I do not live in Bear country, and probably never will, but a Conservation officer is not going to come and tell me I can't have a grill, or my daughter can't feed the birds. I will pay a lawyer to fight that in court because it's flat wrong.

$1000 fine? I'm sure they accept pennies.

Yeah. That's quite a bit of an over-step of their duties.
