It'll take him about 10-11 months to get it done, but when he gets done with it, it will look awesome. He does the best work that I have seen in this area. If you would like to see some of the work he does, let me know, I'll get pictures of my current deer and then later this week to the first of next, I'll have pictures of my deer from last season, he's almost got it done.
Gerry Wethington! He has done my deer since my fitst one 16 yrs ago. 606-787-9916.
Here is a link to all Ky. Taxidermy Association members. I'm sure you will find a good one close to you. http://www.kytaxidermy.com/Membershio_Area_Map.html
Wethington is excellent...or Martin Meredith near Cave City if you are more over that way.
martin is great and a great guy to work with
And if you're willing to go ahead and drop $450, then you should definitely give Gunners Taxidermy a call. You absolutely can't go wrong, and their work is second-to-none.
William Cheak at Mid-State Taxidermy does excellent work. He done this buck for me in 2007 and the detail is awesome.
I agree gunners is one of the best
If you are around the Lincoln County Area Kim Mcwhorter does great work on deer. He did this one for me in 07
Sammy Hall in Scottsville has done my last 4 and I'm really picky. Can send ya some pics if you want. I would go look at several mounts of whoever you are interested in before I mad the decision. Like has already been stated, some are better than others especially on certain animals and alot of it comes down to who really cares. Good luck!
If you really want a good job done and don't mind paying for it check out Mikes Custom Taxidermey in Louisville. He dose awsome work to say the least. My buddy took ALL of his animals he had taken in Africa to him if that tells you anything.
