has anyone else ever seen a terrapin eating a copperhead?
Can’t say that I have.
Uhhh that's strange
Wow. I have fed them worms but never a snake. Is that snake pretty small? Could you tell if he killed it or was already dead.
It was already dead, a little over a foot long and about as big around as a medicine bottle, we had ran it over in our driveway so I tossed it in the woods, came back 5 mins later to show my wife and it had eaten the head and about 4 inches of its body
And I thought them thangs was vegetarians, never to old to learn
Google box turtle eating a snake and there’s all kinds of videos.
I don’t know about eating a snake but I can tell you they can withstand cold better than we think. About 4-5 years ago I was in the deer stand and it was cold as all get out plus it had recently snowed and there were still spots here and there. I kept hearing something below my stand in the leaves and never could find it. Finally I saw leaves moving around an old fall down and there were two box turtles digging away. I don’t know if they were just burrowing in for the winter or what but they they hung around and made noise all morning.
I've seen them eat a frog before.
I've never seen one eat a Copperhead, but I've seen 2 terrapins have wild sex a couple of times. Strangely, it was kind of arousing to me to hear that grunting, and shells banging together simultaneously... but I was younger.
I honestly don’t know how to respond to that.
I wouldn't either.
I just can’t think of anything to say, there Barney,I’m speechless
Barney..i cant decide if that post upped or downed your hero status to me...lol
