Had a great trip today. I caught probably 40+ fish. Lots of red snapper and beeliners and several trigs. I caught one the deckhand called a suitcase. Close to 30lbs. Had a buddy and his son with me. It was there first time doing this. He caught a big AJ but it was out of season as well. I also learned I hate porpoises. I lost probably 10-12 fish to the bastards. No telling how many they ate. Followed us around for a hour. They are smart. They would hit fish in the middle away from hook. And just go on a steady run till hook would pull out of fishes mouth. Also saw my first water spout and fished through one hell of a storm. I’m wore out.
Awesome, looks like a lot of fun! Congratulations and thank you for sharing the photos.
Looks like a blast.
Id hate to be the deck hand that had to clean that pile of fish.
I have never ate any fresh ocean fish. U all hauled them in for sure!
Good day of fishing. Did you see any barracudas
Nice mess of B.B.’s and red scaleys
Good eatin! I love those triggers! Before they put the limit on them four of us caught 82 keepers one trip!
Nope. Only one I saw was back at the dock. Another boat had caught. I caught a remora. And someone caught a eel. Only odd things caught.
There is a fish market at the pier. They will clean your fish for .60 cents a lbs. That stringer I was holding weighed 29lbs. It was only 17.60 to clean. It’s worth it after spending 12 hours on a boat! They will hold it till next day.
Haha! Damn Nock your rolling with them Bullitt County boys.
BTW that’s a hell of a mess of fish! Looks like good times.
Nice mess o fish ya got there.
Nice! Those should eat for a while.
